This 2021 Peugeot Boxer arrived at our Norfolk workshop with a brief that celebrated freedom and flexibility. The vision was to create the perfect 2-berth vehicle for a couple or solo traveller, designed for everything from spontaneous weekend escapes along the coast to longer, independent adventures. The focus was on creating a compact, easy-to-manage living space that didn’t compromise on comfort or self-sufficiency, proving that you don’t need a huge van to have a huge adventure.
At the heart of this build is a robust off-grid electrical system, featuring a powerful solar setup and a modern lithium battery. This system was designed to reliably power the full kitchen, efficient LED lighting, and multiple USB ports, giving its owner the freedom to stay off-grid for days at a time. For year-round comfort, we installed a diesel heater, ensuring the van remains a warm and cosy sanctuary even on the chilliest nights. The layout is both practical and comfortable, with a fixed double bed that creates a large under-bed “garage” area, perfect for storing outdoor gear.
The result is a sleek and highly capable adventure van that perfectly balances a compact design with off-grid capability. We finished the build with premium touches, including a Fiamma awning to extend the living space outdoors and a Thule electric step for easy access. This Peugeot Boxer is a testament to our belief that the best adventures come in all sizes, and it left our workshop as a true handcrafted home on wheels, ready for the open road.
